Wouldn’t it be great for your staff or leadership team to physically and spiritually “take a breath” and be renewed?
Julie will do that by providing a personalized, half-day, interactive, small-group retreat experience for your team!
Here’s what one ministry leader wrote:
“I highly recommend this personalized experience for your ministry team, because for us it was a rich time of spiritual refreshment. This uniquely-shaped retreat helped each of us tighten our bond with God, and experience life together as a team from a fresh perspective. As a leader, it drew me closer to our team and equipped me to lead in some new ways.”
Content
These events are not information-oriented workshops, but experience-oriented retreats. You and your team will have time alone with God to read Scripture, reflect, pray, and engage in some new and creative spiritual practices.
Together you will be able to slow down, listen to the Spirit, and be refreshed. Then you will have opportunities to take what you’ve gleaned from God, and share it with the other members of your group.
Each Personalized Team Retreat will be built around a specific spiritual theme, such as:
“Reshaping by the Master” – The Potter and the Clay
“After Darkness…Light!” – God is the Light of our World
“Where’s your House?” – Building on Rock or Sand
“Seeking Rest” – God’s touch of Silence, Stillness, Surrender, or Gratitude
You can use one of these themes, or we can work together to craft something different for your team.
Location
A key part of the experience is “getting away”, so I love to host these retreats at our historic 1905 farmhouse in Springfield. We have created the adjacent Lavender Pavilion prayer garden and we are just a short walk from the Willamette River; both of these places provide opportunities for reflection in the midst of God’s creation. (If you prefer to meet in a different location, we of course can easily do so.)
Structure
Mornings work best because this is when people are fresh. Therefore, we recommend that your Team Retreat run from 9:00 am. – 1:00 pm. (weekday or Saturday); finishing with conversation over lunch.
Provided by The Unfolding Soul: Hand-outs, materials, background music, beverages, snacks, and guidance for the experience.
Provided by each Participant: Bible, Pen, Journal, Sack Lunch. (Sometimes the Host Organization likes to bring in a light lunch for their team.)
Cost
As a general rule, the fee will be $35.00 per person. However, your cost may vary based on the number of participants, location, and other details. There will be an additional fee for mileage if I travel outside the greater Eugene/Springfield area.
