“Spa for the Soul”
A half-day, interactive, small-group retreat on our 1-acre property
A cozy couch…a rocking chair…a blanket and candles…and time to connect with God!
Spa for the Soul is our signature event. It’s a 4-hour mini-retreat at our farmhouse, and provides you with an opportunity to physically and spiritually “take a breath”, to be renewed, and to connect with God in some special ways.
We typically offer the “Spa” every January. Please check back this fall for details about our 2025 event!

“The Arbor”
Destination events where you can enjoy God’s presence!
Do you ever want to escape for awhile from the busyness, demands, and urgency of your “to do” list?
Rather than simply escape, perhaps God wants to bring you into a place of shelter. A place of rest, protection and safety. A place where you can be renewed through a meaningful encounter with God: Father, Son, Spirit.
To help you settle into God’s rest, we offer destination experiences under the banner of “The Arbor”.
Our 2024 Arbor Experience will be a weekend at the unique Menucha Retreat Center about 20 miles east of downtown Portland in the heart of the beautiful Columbia River Gorge!
Theme: “Connecting with God’s Heart”
Date: October 11-13, 2024
Fall is beautiful here in Oregon, as God’s creation expresses itself in a variety of colors. Menucha sits on approximately 100 acres of rolling green land – much of it in its natural wooded state, while portions have been beautifully and informally planted. Guests are invited to hike the trails, stroll in the gardens, take a prayer walk in the labyrinth, and enjoy other amenities such as the volleyball and tennis courts. Our weekend together will include brief times of instruction, individual times for reflection, group discussion, interactive spiritual exercises…and great food! Menucha is known for their excellent meals, and we will enjoy them together inside their historic main hall.
Cost: $330 per person. Your registration will include lodging (2 per room), 5 meals, and all retreat materials. (NOTE: if you will be flying in to the Portland airport, please let us know. We may be able to arrange transportation for you to/from Menucha).

Renovare Book Club
Read, discuss, experience community, grow spiritually
Renovare, a Christian non-profit organization, helps people become more like Jesus through print and online resources, as well as retreats and spiritual formation groups. Their desire is to provide community and experiences so that knowledge can move from people’s heads to their hearts.
One of their resources is a book club, providing small group community and discussion for intentional reading and soul-searching. There are groups that meet all over the world, and Julie hosts one that meets in her home in Springfield. Please contact her if you would like to learn about how you can participate.
